I am utterly thrilled and excited to announce that our styled shoot, shot at wedding venue Hale Park in the New Forest is currently featuring on Rock My Wedding.  We’re ecstatic to be involved in such an epic wedding blog and the coverage our shoot will received because of it.  We want to inspire everyone who see’s it to realise their romantic dream, and know that it’s not difficult to achieve.  We’re there to make your aspirations into reality x

Becky and her romantic new forest wedding at burley manor

I seem to be living at Burley Manor these days, but I don’t mind at all!  The venue and staff are second to none so it’s always a pleasure to return each weekend.  And I was so excited to do Becky’s bridal makeup, especially as the brief was ‘soft and romantic’ my favourite words when it comes to designing a breathtaking look!  Becky was just the perfect bride to design for – perfect skin, gorgeous deep eyes and such a lovely person to boot.  Really she was the whole package.  Becky was confident in my skills so pretty much gave me free reign over the makeup – I kept her eyes the main focus providing a pink, mauve and brown smokey eye.  I then lightly filled in her brows and applied a smooth foundation.  Topping off with a light contour, highlighter and pinky cheeks using Charlotte Tilbury products.  After setting the base, I then finished with Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Pillow Talk x

How I created *that* peaches and cream makeup design – Modern Romantic

Firstly, sorry this has taken me so long to post!  I know I promised this last week, but I got caught up in doing some gorgeous weddings and photoshoots so it kind of got put on the back burner… but today I’ve actually had some time to do tons of paperwork, book more clients in and post a couple of things!  So here is how I created a design I call ‘Peaches and Cream’ for our Modern Romantic styled shoot, which currently featured on My Wedding Fair

I started off by creating a medium to deep smokey eye using browns that either had a slight cooper element, or were underlined by a peach tone.  All of which were by MAC.  I then lined the eyes in a brown soft kohl and blended to give a smooth edge, adding false eyelashes by KISS in Peony, I filled in the brows finishing the eyes.  Moving onto the skin I used 2 sets of primers by Dr Brandt and Smashbox – to smooth and prep the skin for foundation.  I used a combination of YSL Touche Eclat Foundation and Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation to give the skin a good coating.  I then used a blusher by MAC in Peaches (of course) and bronzer by Bobbi Brown in Golden Light.  To finish I used a Bobbi Brown lipstick in Coral Pink x

Sophie and her fairytale wedding at Solent Hotel & Spa

Yesterday I had the enormous pleasure of doing the bridal makeup for Sophie before her wedding at Solent Hotel & Spa, located in Hampshire.  Sophie had the most sweetest love story of how she met her beau, that I just knew her bridal makeup had to reflect her cute romantic soul.  When I met Sophie for her makeup trial she was uncertain of what she wanted in terms of design, but once she showed me her boho styled wedding gown and the style of her hair with the gypsophila flowers – I knew it had to be soft yet with a neat contoured eye.

Sophie’s skin was incredible to work with and needed little foundation, but what I did was use a combination of YSL touche eclat foundation with a little Bourjois healthy mix foundation to allow her skin to breath whilst providing a long wear element to it x
