Trinny Woodall – ‘For the last 20 years I have worked with women all over the world. I help them find the most flattering styles, the best skincare, and the most hard-working, perfectly matched, foolproof makeup ❤ As I travelled the globe, I improvised my own personalised makeup kit. In a quest for the perfect tone and consistency I would mix a stick foundation with a liquid, blend a lip tint with a gloss… I mushed up colours and decanted them into little pots. And then I thought, “there has to be a better way”. The big idea was born: a portable, versatile range of makeup, with colours to suit every woman. ❤ After 3 years of experimenting, planning, developing formulas, and state-of-the-art technology to pinpoint which makeup truly suits you, welcome to the ultimate easy, modern, do-it-everywhere, premium makeup brand: TRINNY LONDON.’
Trinny London are all about portable makeup. Whilst this is nothing new in the industry, I think the way they have marketed themselves and really pushed for all their products to be portable is refreshing. They have considered what will give the maximum amount of colour, with the minimal amount of effort and take up only a small amount of space in a standard sized handbag. I love the idea of this – not only is it better for the environment (as the pots are reusable) but also requires little skill in application, which is just perfect for everyday use.
My personal favourites are the lip glow colour in ‘Maddie‘ and spot concealer ‘Miracle Blur‘
If it’s possible to fall totally in love with a makeup product, then I have fallen truly and completely head over heels for this foundation. Oh my word, where to begin! I am always searching for the very best foundations for my brides, as it not only gives them a beautiful base and the coverage they want – but it also makes my life a lot easier and happier knowing my client is thrilled with their skin. This foundation is just that – the very best.
Amazing at covering scars, spots and brilliant at levelling out skin tone. The formula itself is exceptionally light, and feels like silk on the skin – easily build-able to any level of coverage from very light to medium/full. The foundation comes in a gorgeous glass bottle with the YSL signature gold cap, finishing the elegant look that just screams luxury.
I currently have a little crush on these beauties from Germany. Zoeva is not quite a household name like MAC or Bobbi Brown, but there is no denying that they know how to make a brush! I immediately wanted these stunners when I saw them from Beauty Bay – gorgeous in their rose gold finish and soft synthetic bristles. They look so good against the rest of my pro kit brushes such as Real Techniques and Sigma, and already they are proving a hit with my brides as I’ve been going around with them while doing makeup trials and weddings. So far they have stood up to a few washes and have still kept their structure, with all bristles still in place!
At over £50 a set they are certainly not cheap, but my word are they worth every penny! x
