Hello! I’m Frances…

Hello!  I’m Frances, a classically trained bridal/editorial makeup artist and trainee wedding hairstylist working across the South of England.  My previous clientele have included brides, models, actors, actresses and members of the aristocracy throughout Hampshire (New Forest), Dorset, Surrey, Wiltshire and London.  A regular contributor to national and international wedding magazines and blogs, my work has been seen across the world and celebrated for its emphasis on luxury beauty.  I simply love being asked to be a part of someone’s wedding day.  Not only is it incredibly exciting; it’s also a position of trust, and one which I fully respect.

In my professional makeup kit are products which I have carefully selected for their high performance qualities and ability to work under pressure – which ensures your bridal makeup has everything it needs to look fab!  These include: Anastasia Beverly Hills * Benefit * Bobbi Brown * Charlotte Tilbury * Dr. Brandt * Illamasqua * Kiss Eyelashes * Laura Mercier * L.A Girl * MAC * Makeup Geek * Rosie for Autograph * Sigma * Smashbox and Urban Decay to name a few.

I’d love to hear about your wedding plans so do get in touch at hello@francesmooremua.co.uk, or by sending me a message through my Contact page.  Also do check out my blog which is regularly updated with helpful tips and advice for your wedding day!

Commercial and Editorial work…

If you’re looking for that missing piece to your project, then a professionally trained and experienced makeup artist maybe what you need to turn your creative thoughts into reality.  Ensuring the end result is something that you can be really proud of to see in print or online.

Whether the assignment calls for a ‘classic’ beauty look or perhaps a more avant-garde design, my role will be to interrupt your thoughts and come up with a practical approach that takes your project to the next level.  By committing to your vision I work hard through my designs to compliment, never overpower, the rest of the creative team thus ensuring a smooth transition that appears seamless on and off camera.

Take a look at my Editorial gallery and get in touch to discuss your makeup requirements.

Current clients include: Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding Magazine, Bride Magazine and Wedding Ideas Magazine.

2016 wrap up…

Wow!  What a fab year I have had…from bridal clients to international models, local village weddings to large stately homes – I have had what is quite possibly the most productive, amazing year yet!  And the business just keeps growing.  I am now in the enviable position where I don’t need to advertise to gain clients, and I’m more able to go and do styled shoots for high profile photographers.  I have also been extremely lucky in the fact that I have met and worked with some real senior names in the wedding industry including; Tasha Newland of Ikonworks, Az Rehman of Lemontree Photography, Unique Cakes by Yevnig, Halfpenny London and Jennifer Poynter Flowers to name just a few.  I have also made some lifetime friends through my bridal clients, and even now still get contacted by brides I did the makeup for a year or two years ago still saying they can’t believe how gorgeous their makeup was, and asking what products I used to recreate it – which is extremely flattering.

I have also had the most wedding magazine, and wedding blog coverage I have ever received from previous years.  Which all accumulated in achieving a front cover for Wedding Ideas magazine in August, along with a three page feature in Your Hampshire and Dorset wedding magazine (also in August) for an art deco styled shoot I had organised and designed the makeup for.  This has also been the year where I have organised around 5 styled shoots for various publications – learning not just how to managed people, but to also think outside the box in terms of makeup design to keep my skills fresh and exciting for future bridal clients.

I have also been accepted onto the books of some very high profile wedding venues this year including; Penton Park, Stanwell House and Somerley Estate House.

With 2017 almost already fully booked I simply cannot wait to begin on another equally (if not better) year of glamorous shoots, beautiful bridal clients and magazine coverage x

Bobbi Brown – Sterling Nights eyeshadow palette, limited edition…

When I was recently researching new products to add to my professional kit (a very definite perk to my job) I came across this gorgeous eyeshadow palette from Bobbi Brown, now unfortunately discontinued due to it be limited edition – I was immediately drawn to the dusky pink and wonderful array of browns, mauves and taupe colours which were just perfect for a cover shoot I had coming up and the design I had planned.  Normally always using MAC eyeshadow for their longevity and performance qualities, I thought I’d give Bobbi a second go and see if it would withstand the pressure of a shoot.  It did very well under the heat and long photoshoot hours and still looked so pretty.

The reason I love this palette is there are just endless combinations you can try, and the palette itself is nice and compact with quite a durable outer package – which believe is quite rare in the industry!  Overall I highly rate this product – I just wish it is was available all the time x

Let’s work together…

Next year I am hoping to collaborate with many different styled photographers, including wedding photographers, on projects. Anything from full day photoshoots to brochure work – even a music video! And the makeup can range from avant-garde to beautiful belle. Just get in touch if you’d like to work together x
