Last month photographer Matt Lee, model Sophie Waldron and myself decided to make full use of the wonderful heat wave we were experiencing in the South of England and produce a beach styled shoot… hey, why not?! Sophie is an avid surfer and swimmer so beach shoots are always her favourites to do, and Matt just loves to travel and explore hidden beaches so this was definitely a shoot were no one needed convincing to spend a day at the beach!
I never thought ‘commercial’ makeup was my thang, but to be honest I rather enjoyed myself on this one! It was so interesting trying to design something that was a bit beachy, a bit surfy and yet something that was user friendly on the beach and in the intense heat. I loved it! x
Wow! What a fab year I have had…from bridal clients to international models, local village weddings to large stately homes – I have had what is quite possibly the most productive, amazing year yet! And the business just keeps growing. I am now in the enviable position where I don’t need to advertise to gain clients, and I’m more able to go and do styled shoots for high profile photographers. I have also been extremely lucky in the fact that I have met and worked with some real senior names in the wedding industry including; Tasha Newland of Ikonworks, Az Rehman of Lemontree Photography, Unique Cakes by Yevnig, Halfpenny London and Jennifer Poynter Flowers to name just a few. I have also made some lifetime friends through my bridal clients, and even now still get contacted by brides I did the makeup for a year or two years ago still saying they can’t believe how gorgeous their makeup was, and asking what products I used to recreate it – which is extremely flattering.
I have also had the most wedding magazine, and wedding blog coverage I have ever received from previous years. Which all accumulated in achieving a front cover for Wedding Ideas magazine in August, along with a three page feature in Your Hampshire and Dorset wedding magazine (also in August) for an art deco styled shoot I had organised and designed the makeup for. This has also been the year where I have organised around 5 styled shoots for various publications – learning not just how to managed people, but to also think outside the box in terms of makeup design to keep my skills fresh and exciting for future bridal clients.
With 2017 almost already fully booked I simply cannot wait to begin on another equally (if not better) year of glamorous shoots, beautiful bridal clients and magazine coverage x

Next year I am hoping to collaborate with many different styled photographers, including wedding photographers, on projects. Anything from full day photoshoots to brochure work – even a music video! And the makeup can range from avant-garde to beautiful belle. Just get in touch if you’d like to work together x
If you’re looking for that missing piece to your project, then a professionally trained and experienced makeup artist maybe what you need to turn your creative thoughts into reality. Ensuring the end result is something that you can be really proud of to see in print or online.
Whether the assignment calls for a ‘classic’ beauty look or perhaps a more avant-garde design, my role will be to interrupt your thoughts and come up with a practical approach that takes your project to the next level. By committing to your vision I work hard through my designs to complement, never overpower, the rest of the creative team thus ensuring a smooth transition that appears seamless on and off camera.
Current clients include: Your Hampshire and Dorset Wedding Magazine, Bride Magazine and Wedding Ideas Magazine.
“I just wanted to get in touch and thank you for the beautiful work for our front cover of 163!”
