For a classic bridal makeup look there’s nothing more chic than a nude, pink lipstick shade. But, like skin tones, nude lipsticks come in a myriad of beautiful shades. Whether you like a ‘true’ nude in a beige colour or a subtle pink or orange hue to enhance the natural colour of your lips, one of my top 5 nude lipsticks will be perfect for your wedding day. For those who are die-hard matte lipstick addicts, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk is your NBF, but if you’re a satin-finish girl (and even like a bit of shimmer) you need a Nars Satin Lipstick in your make up bag! x
I seem to be living at Burley Manor these days, but I don’t mind at all! The venue and staff are second to none so it’s always a pleasure to return each weekend. And I was so excited to do Becky’s bridal makeup, especially as the brief was ‘soft and romantic’ my favourite words when it comes to designing a breathtaking look! Becky was just the perfect bride to design for – perfect skin, gorgeous deep eyes and such a lovely person to boot. Really she was the whole package. Becky was confident in my skills so pretty much gave me free reign over the makeup – I kept her eyes the main focus providing a pink, mauve and brown smokey eye. I then lightly filled in her brows and applied a smooth foundation. Topping off with a light contour, highlighter and pinky cheeks using Charlotte Tilbury products. After setting the base, I then finished with Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Pillow Talk x

On Thursday I had the very great pleasure of providing my makeup services to this gorgeous lady and her bridal party. Faye was just the most loveliest, fun bride I have ever worked for – along with her family they made me feel very welcomed and part of the festivities! Faye and her beau were planning on a funfair wedding at venue Wasing Park and boy did they have some amazing props, including a giant fab made entirely from roses by their florist Ricky Paul Flowers!
Although Faye’s theme was very quirky she wanted something classic for her wedding makeup. Creating a deep toned eye using mauves, pinks and browns – I then added a black shadow along the lash line and slightly underneath. Filling in Faye’s brows using soft shadows and a gel – I then added a couple of layers of foundation. Popping on a bit of blusher and some powder, I finished Faye’s look using Charlotte Tilbury’s lipstick in Pillow Talk x
Yesterday was Hayley’s wedding and what a beautifully sunny day it turned out to be! Hayley and her beau were preparing to get hitched at one of my favourite wedding venues The Elvetham Hotel – where I seem to be living at the moment!! Hayley was sooo excited and such a happy bride that I had a job to pin her to the makeup chair, but I think she was actually happy for a bit of calm after organising everything first thing!
Hayley wanted her bridal makeup to be classic, timeless and flawless. Opting for an expertly blended pink and peach toned eye – Hayley wanted to add a daring bold statement lip using MAC’s lipstick in Ruby Woo for a bit of Hollywood glamour. Keeping her whole look generally soft and blended meant that the bold lip could be added without overpowering the look. Hayley also wanted her bridesmaids design to be kept soft and light using mauves and shimmer through the eye with a pink lip in Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk x
