As you can gauge by now I love to blog. I just love sharing knowledge, telling you what I’ve been up to and to hopefully guide bewildered brides through the maze that is wedding planning. So when Tasha Newland of Ikonworks Photography approached me about writing some articles for her new Hampshire Wedding Club – I just jumped at the chance to share hints, tips and advice to lovely brides-to-be.
And first on the agenda? Well, it has to be advice on why you should consider hiring a professional makeup artist for your big day. Next week… Perfume tips.

Last year saw the massive launch of a new directory for brides, by the ‘holy grail’ of everything weddings – Love My Dress. Little Book for Brides was born – made for brides to be their ‘little black book’ of the top wedding suppliers in the country. Personally picked and championed by the Love My Dress team, brides are reassured that their choice of supplier is backed by the most trusted wedding blog in the UK. I simply love being a part of this amazing project and have already had some enquiries from it, so I am really pleased at it’s success on a personal level x
When Annabel from Love My Dress wedding blog contacted me about getting involved in her new directory, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I’m simply in love with her blog and actually used a ‘real-life’ wedding she featured as the inspiration for my own wedding – especially the vintage inspired wedding dress which I had handmade to look a similar style. So it’s fair to say I’m a fan! Annabel wanted to create more than just a directory – she wanted to really showcase some of the UK’s best suppliers, so I was completely honoured she chose to feature me. I think everything she does has such vision, and the directory does not fail in the style stakes. It’s so exchanging and gives brides so much quality choice in suppliers – rather than going for just suppliers that happen to be near a venue, Annabel shows you you have a choice!

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by VivienJ, one of the UK’s leading bridal accessories company, to write a little feature for their blog which gives all kinds of helpful tips; not just on bridal hairpieces and accessories but also practical wedding advice. VivienJ were going to publish a major piece on bridal/wedding makeup and wanted something that brides could quickly flick through and gain insider information on how to make their bridal look really stunning. The result was 23 Makeup Artists, including myself, in a self help style blog feature – including celebrity Artists’ Gemma Aldous and Daniel Sandler, which is a huge honour to have my name anywhere near theirs’ and published!

Just before Christmas, Sonia who writes for Want That Wedding, asked me to come up with 5 top tips for brides who are attempting to create their own wedding makeup look – basically to get the insider knowledge that professional’s don’t want to let slip! Being an absolute big fan of Sonia’s site and what she is trying to do, I got to work straight away and also came up with some quirky titles people could have a bit of a giggle at whilst reading.
It was so much fun writing for Sonia and her blog, and I really hope you enjoy reading the full article here wantthatwedding
